Rokolectiv is at it again. This time the Rokolectiv crew is bringing something entirely new, but equally exciting and colourful to the Bucharest Electronic music scene. The whole weekend is dedicated to SHAPE (Sound, Heterogeneous Art, and Performance in Europe), one of the most ambitious European platforms for innovative music and audiovisual art.
Since SHAPE’s mission is to present a variety of idiosyncratic music and sonic art from all over Europe, and provide audiences and professionals with insightful lectures, talks and workshops by experts in various fields related to sound and performance, you definitely don’t want to miss what’s coming.
As before, on the 10th, 11th and 12th of September, the former thermal power station of Halele Carol will be the “home, sweet home” of sound performances & DJ sets supported by site-specific visual outputs.
Thursday night, at the Grădina Viitorului tech incubator, Moritz Simon Geistt will be hosting Lecture: Music robots & techno robots – History, Building and playing, a lecture dedicated to teaching everyone how to make musical robots your best friends. The lecture, which is open for both artists and the general public, will be followed by a live performance on Friday at Halele Carol. Students from the University of Arts are also invited to join Romanian artist Sergiu Doroftei in the process of creating a kinetic installation that will be on display at Halele Carol on the 11th and the 12th.
